Anyone home...?
After a while, speaking to an old friend is like finding the missing piece of a favorite puzzle. A true friend is one you can go a long time without talking to and when you reconnect, nothing has changed. So, yes! You are my friend. I appreciate you taking the time to read these letters. A funny thing about life is that once you begin to take note of what you are grateful for, you start to lose sight of the things that you lack. I might not have the audience but I’m grateful for you.
First time no write…I know! And for sticking it out with me, thank you, and happy new month.
Where have I been?
Writing! I’ve been working on personal projects, and I have deadlines. I still am, but I decided to do this.
Why?
Let’s say I had an idea. The start of Virgo season is going to usher in my birthday…rounding off another year. So, I thought why not start something new? Why write another short story, when we can have a series?
What sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and it’s not. And a lot of the time, it’s what makes you great
I did write a short story for the month of May but never got around posting it because I wasn’t convinced about it. What is worth doing at all should be done well.
Let’s have a poll. I’ll post the titles and loglines of three stories at the end of this letter, and we’ll vote on which we would like to read—in parts, of course. Well, if I don’t hear from you, I’ll take it as "shut up and take a seat!" but please indulge me.
Whatever you do, whatever it is that you are good at, do it devotedly. Remember, to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. Don’t let the NOs and discouragement shrink your confidence. Don’t doubt yourself, JUST DO IT!
